Miaotian Sun is a choreographer and interdisciplinary artist whose work explores cultural exchange, embodied storytelling, and the body as a medium for breaking social and disciplinary boundaries. Her choreography has been presented at Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, Apollo Theater, and Spark Theatre Festival NYC. Her piece La Mia Gioiosa Possessione del Mondo was shortlisted by the Roma National Dance Academy in 2023. She is the founder of the New York City Chinese Dance Company and Quadrant International Arts Association, a nonprofit that inspire, entertain, and educate the community through the power of culture and performing arts. Her work has been featured in Woman Around Town, Women’s Journal, NewsBreak, and Dance Data Project. She is passionate about using movement to reimagine heritage, build inclusive platforms, and foster dialogue across identities.
