Fort Worth, Texas

Charles Collins is an African American choreographer, performing artist, and educator who uses voguing as a powerful medium for storytelling within his community. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, he is originally from Kansas City, Kansas, where his passion for dance and movement began.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and Dance from Lamar University and recently completed his Master of Fine Arts in Dance at Texas Woman’s University. During his time there, he contributed to the academic and production environment as a Costume Coordinator, Production Manager, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and recipient of a Texas Woman’s research grant. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Tarrant County College Northwest Campus.

Beyond academia, Charles is the Co-Director of the Texas Lonestars Pro Dance Team and the founder of Echo Parliament, a contemporary dance company that has already debuted and continues to develop new work. He has taught master classes for dance festivals, university intensives, and professional organizations across the country.

In addition, Charles has worked as a Company Director, curriculum curator, and choreographer, shaping dance programs and leading a wide range of classes. His teaching spans community, competitive, and pre professional levels, allowing him to connect with dancers of all ages and backgrounds while fostering growth, confidence, and artistic voice.
