Alex Benavidez-Terrones is a distinguished first-generation college attendee, having studied in dance and business marketing from Texas Woman's University. With over a decade of experience in the dance industry, she has established herself as a prominent figure through her leadership of the award-winning company Wrk'n Progress, which has garnered numerous accolades for choreography and first-place awards.

In addition to directing Wrk'n Progress, Alex served as the hip-hop instructor at multiple dance studios before opening an award winning dance studio with Mary Onuoha. Alex is the founder and director of the Texas Live Lonestars pro dance team at Texas Live!, a multimillion-dollar venue situated adjacent to AT&T Stadium and Texas Rangers Stadium. She previously directed the Dallas Skyline Flygirls for two seasons in the TBL basketball league.

Alex has made significant contributions as a choreographer for several artists over the years, including B-Hamp (Mr. Ricky Bobby), Drake, B. Simone, Dale, Tay Money, Louie The Singer, Aquile, King Los, Marcos Covos, Daddy Yankee, Bun B, Jersey Shore's Pauly D, and more. Her work has been featured in music videos and performances aired on MTV and LIVE on B.E.T. She toured with the two-time Grammy Award-winning duo Play N Skillz and collaborated on an international music video for Reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee. With a wealth of experience in the dance community, Alex excels as a dancer, choreographer, director, and emerging singer/artist, affirming her status as a versatile creative professional. Outside of dance Alex has appeared on Yellowstone , and continues to dable in film.

Currently, she serves as a hip-hop instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington and co-owns Motiv8ion Dance Studio in Mansfield, Texas, and still directs Texas Live! Lonestars. As an advocate for minority women in professional dance and cheerleading, Alex is dedicated to enhancing representation and creating opportunities in the field as well as continuing her music career and establishing her hat line "hats&hoops".
